Trail film fest a stamp for Wenatchee
By Steve Maher
Last October, RunWenatchee helped sponsor the film, “Unbreakable: The Western States 100,” at the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center as part of the annual Environmental Film Series.
On the heels of that success, RunWenatchee is pleased to be sponsoring an even bigger one-night event, The Trail Running Film Festival, the evening of March 16 at Gateway Cinema in Wenatchee.
The film festival is being put on by Rainshadow Running, a group that holds several trail runs in the Pacific Northwest. It will include beer and music by The Pine Hearts. This will be the sixth stop on the festival’s 12-city tour.
Here is the lineup of films and videos that will be shown:
— “The Dipsea Documentary”
— “Finding Traction” extended trailer
— “Roll Out!”
— “Running the Edge: The Colorado Trail”
— 2014 Orcas Island Race video
— Never before seen footage from the upcoming Barkley Film

Please join RunWenatchee in welcoming The Trail Running Film Festival to our community. This is the kind of event that puts a stamp on the outdoor town that Wenatchee has become. This film fest wouldn’t be coming here if that wasn’t the case. For proof, here is a sample of the other cities on the tour: Ashland, Eugene, Bend, Portland, Hood River, Olympia, Seattle, Bellingham and Twisp.
