Oktoberfest Trail Runs

oktoberfest-2016-cone4The Oktoberfest Trail Runs (10-mile and 5-Mile, plus a kids race) are held on Wenatchee National Forest lands near Leavenworth, with the start and finish occurring at the Leavenworth Ski Hill facility, located two miles north of the town of Leavenworth. During the winter months, the Ski Hill attracts cross-country skiers and other outdoor enthusiasts. In the spring, summer and fall, these trails become the epicenter for trail running in the Leavenworth area, with rolling terrain, beautiful views of the rugged peaks of the Cascade Mountains and the Icicle Creek area.

This event is held during the third and final weekend of Leavenworth’s famous Oktoberfest celebration.

This event also serves as a fundraiser for the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club, which operates the Ski Hill.

The Oktoberfest event is part of the Wenatchee Valley Trail Run Series put on by RunWenatchee. Other races in the series include the Horse Lake Trail Runs (April 29, 2017) in the Wenatchee Foothills; and the Red Devil Challenge Trail Runs (May 20, 2017) in the Wenatchee National Forest near Cashmere.
