River Run on the Fourth 5K & 10K
The seventh-annual River Run on the Fourth will be held July 4, 2017, in conjunction with the Wenatchee Independence Day Celebration. The 5K and 10K will start and finish at Pybus Public Market, which opened in 2013 and is the second-largest public market in Washington state.

Description: The two courses — 5K and 10K — utilize the paved Apple Capital Loop Trail along the Columbia River and feature flat sections, rollers and a few hills. We encourage walkers to participate in both the 5K and 10K. Strolling along the river is a pastime of many!
Start time: 8 a.m.
Start line: Pybus Public Market, 7 N. Worthen St., Wenatchee

Packet pickup: 4 to 6 p.m., July 3, 2017, at Pybus Public Market, 8 N. Worthen St. Wenatchee; and 6:30 to 7:30 a.m., July 4, 2017, at Pybus Public Market, 8 N. Worthen St., Wenatchee.
In-person registration: 4 to 6 p.m., July 3, 2017, at Pybus Public Market, 8 N. Worthen St. Wenatchee; and 6:30 to 7:30 a.m., July 4, 2017, at Pybus Public Market, 8 N. Worthen St., Wenatchee.
Essentials: Aid stations will be located approximately every three miles. Stations will have will have water and energy drink.
Trash: Leave no trace. Be kind to our beautiful community and waterfront and clean up after yourself. Please don’t abandon trash. Waste baskets will be located along the course.
Views and features: These run-or-walk, traffic-free courses take participants on the Apple Capital Loop Trail along the banks of the Columbia River. Participants will enjoy numerous views of the Columbia, the Cascade Mountains and the Wenatchee Foothills. The start and finish is at Pybus Public Market along the Wenatchee waterfront. Pybus is the second largest public market in the state.

Runner premiums: The first 400 River Run paid registrants will receive a shirt and a finishers medal.
Awards: The top three male and female finishers in all three distances receive an award.
Timing and results: The race will be timed. Results will be posted on www.runwenatchee.com after the race.
