RunWenatchee River Run 2012 5k/10k and Half Marathon, Saturday, September 15th, 2012

The Second Annual 2012 RunWenatchee River Run 5k Run/Walk, 10k Run/Walk and Half Marathon will be held in downtown Wenatchee, Washington on Saturday, September 15, 2011.

In conjunction with the Wenatchee Downtown Association’s Taste Of The Harvest Festival, this 5k Run/Walk, 10k Run/Walk and Half Marathon will take runners on a beautiful, traffic free course that encompasses downtown streets and the Apple Capital Loop Recreation Trail. Finish line area will be in the heart of the Taste Of The Harvest Festival, with bands, beer/wine garden, food, kids activities and much more!  Like us on Facebook!

Race Information

Back for a second exciting year, this 5k Run/Walk, 10k Run/Walk and Half Marathon will take runners/walkers on a beautiful, traffic free course that encompasses downtown streets and the Apple Capital Loop Recreation Trail. Finish line area will be in the heart of the Taste Of  The Harvest Festival, with bands, beer/wine garden, food, kids activities and much more!  Walkers will be welcome for all distances!  

Proceeds for this years event benefit Wellness Place, our local cancer support center!

 We will have a 1 mile Cancer Survivor Walk, sponsored by Wellness Place.  All cancer survivors are encouraged to come out and participate! No registration necessary! 

We are also excited to partner with Team Reliv for a second year, providing us fantastic aid station and finish line support with Innergize fluid replacement drink!  Also, Team Ironheart Racing will be participating in this years event, whose mission is:  We’re everyday athletes on a mission. It’s quite simple: Compete endurance races across the globe while raising awareness for healthy heart living and congenital heart disease

All finishers will receive a Brooks technical shirt and a complimentary entry into the wine garden ( must be 21 or older).  Awards will be given to top 3 male and female finishers in all 3 distances.

 Chip timing and results will be provided by BuDu Racing, LLC.

Packet Pick Up and Registration

 Runners/Walkers will be able to pick packets up on Friday, Sept 14th at Arlbergs Sports in downtown Wenatchee from 4-6 pm and on Saturday morning at Centennial Park startingt at 8am.

In person registration will also be available on Friday, Sept 14th at Arblerg Sports from 4-6 pm and on Saturday Morning at Centennial Park, starting at 8 am.

The 5k and 10k are fast and flat, the 1/2 Marathon is gently rolling along the beautiful Columbia River and almost entirely on the Apple Capital Loop Trail (traffic free!)
 This event is not a sanctioned USATF event.
